"Let me tell you about Honey B"

Brian Carr (aka Honey B) started his career in music at 5 yrs. old shaking a puzzle box while his 2 older brothers, Keith and Dennis, played air guitar with broomsticks and baseball bats. They played lots of Beatles songs for whoever would listen.

Dad could see that these boys would be stars someday, so he helped them each get guitars and taught them to play a few chords and how to "boogie-woogie". The neighbors always appreciated it when they took their amplifiers out to the backyard and practiced their new found talent. Well, maybe not all the neighbors.

When Brian was 12 yrs.old, after playing guitar for awhile, his Dad said " Son, guitarists are easy to find but a good bass player is hard to come by..." So, he got a Gibson SB-350 bass guitar and studied under two of the best bass teachers in the Philadephia area, John Leitham and Vince Fay.

At 15 yrs. old, Brian instantly had the ability to play the piano as a gift from God. " I just watched my fingers and realized that this was a gift from God to bring beauty into a troubled heart" says Brian, "Playing piano has a way of bringing me to a place of peace in a confusing and sometimes cruel world. I want to share that 'place of peace' with people who want to listen".

From Jazz, Funk, Fusion, Rock, Heavy Metal and, yes, even Disco music, Brian has hammered, plucked and slapped his way into many bands near Philadephia as a teenager and into his twenties.

In his thirties, Brian got married to his best friend, Danielle. They started having kids and began volunteering for with Compassion International which helps children in Third World countries break free of poverty. 

A few years later they moved to Englewood, Colorado. That's where Brian got the name "Honey B". His musical taste has evolved into (but hasn't been limited to) Smooth Jazz, Christian Rock, Funk and Classic Rock.
